Fun and Tasty Halloween Mummy Dogs

Kids (and adults!) will love these fun and super easy mummy dogs for a pre trick-or-treat meal on Halloween night! Not that you have to wait until Halloween night to make these. We’ve already made them once last week and The Tot has requested these again for dinner on Halloween!

So like I said, these are super easy. You will need hot dogs and crescent rolls and… nothing else, that’s it! I use Applegate Organic Beef Hot Dogs and Trader Joe’s crescent roll dough. Line up your hot dogs to form a mummy army and make one cut with a knife at the bottom for the legs. Then make smaller cuts for the arms. Don’t worry about making these perfect they will be covered with their crescent roll bandages.

Next you will cut your crescent rolls into thin strips for the bandages. I start at the head and wrap the crescent roll strips around the head and body of the mummy. Make sure you criss cross some of the strips and leave some space for the hot dog to peek through.

Bake at 350 for approximately 13-17 min. Keep an eye on these after about 10 min. Depending on the width of your strips you may need to adjust the cook time.

We had a little bit of dough left so we made some cute little bats as well.

I really do love these for a pre trick-or-treat meal because 1) my daughter gobbles them up fast and 2) if you choose healthy hot dogs, these are a great way to give them a nice punch of protein before all of the sugar they are soon to ingest!

These would also be great to make for a Halloween party! Pair these with our Frankenstein Rice Crispy Treats, White Chocolate Pumpkins and Spooky Halloween Grave Yard to round out the party menu!
